Mr Baghdadi is supported by an excellent nursing and embryology and admin team whose expertise he depends on.

Some of the team are pioneers and worked with him since the establishment of the Fertility services at the Priory in 1989.

Mr Baghdadi as Medical Director is very proud of a team who will go the extra mile to offer personal support, put their heart and time to serve the best interest of patients.
Because of their vast experience they are used to help patients even with most complex and difficult circumstances and they will try every thing to serve.

Jane Cuthbert

Jane is a senior embryologist and clinic manager at the Priory fertility centre. She helped to set up the centre in 1989. She is also a founding member of the Association of Embryologists.

Dr Melanie Lake

CS PhD BSc (Hons)

Melanie is a Senior Clinical Embryologist at the Priory Fertility Centre and also the clinic's Quality Manager. Melanie is a state registered Clinical Scientist and has been an ICSI qualified practitioner since 1999.

Amrit Surdhar

CS BSc (Hons)

Senior Clinical Embryologist and Laboratory Manager, Amrit has a BSc degree in Applied Biology. She has worked at the Priory Fertility Centre since 1995.

Jo Turner

Jo is a state registered Biomedical Scientist with many years of experience within andrology before she joined the Priory Fertility Centre in 2007.

Astrid is a highly experienced counsellor and has been helping fertility patients for fifteen years.

Nursing Staff

Claire Thompson

Claire is a Registered General Nurse and is an experienced fertility nurse having started working within the Fertility field in 1993. Claire performs ultrasound scanning, early pregnancy scans, and assists in theatre. Claire also acts as the egg donation coordinator.

Jill Wilson

Jill has been working as a fertility nurse since 1996. Jill has been a member of the RCN fertility nurse’s forum for many years and she actively contributes to the group, shaping policy and protocols for fertility nurses nationally. Winner of Canadian Exchange Prize.

Katie Roberts

Katie is a fertility nurse over 15 years of experience. Katie is a specialist in monitoring scans, pregnancy scans, treatment plans and supporting couples throughout their journey.

Theresa McAuliffe

Theresa is a qualified fertility nurse, she trained as a midwife before joining the exciting world of fertility. Theresa is an expert in all aspect of fertility cycles. Her unique additional strength stems from her midwifery background: she understands pregnancy related issues very well.

Shante Watkins

Shante recently moved to the Priory fertility team from her background as a theatre nurse. She brings additional strength to the team with expertise from her previous job. She is skilled in scans, supporting fertility patients and assisting in theatres.

Anna McNicholas

Anna was qualified as a nurse in 1984. She worked for the NHS and at the Priory for nearly 25 years. Following a career break, Anna joined the Priory fertility team as an HCA. She brings her vast experience to the team. Anna supports couples during their treatment cycles and helps at various clinical steps.

Admin Team

Rebecca Hare

Rebecca deals with NHS contracts, Admin work and data management for Priory Fertility Centre.

Denise Mace

Denise has worked at The Priory Fertility Centre since 2004. Denise works as the receptionist and is the first point of contact for patients, and as well as booking appointments she also deals with all general patient telephone enquiries.

Jackie Hare

Jackie has worked at The Priory Fertility Centre since 2001 and is responsible for all the data entry which we are required submit to the HFEA

Gemma Marke

Gemma is responsible for collating all the information required for making up treatment notes. Gemma responds to patient queries.
