Are the waiting times as long as with the NHS?

We all know that unfortunately the NHS has a long waiting list. At the BMI Priory Hospital an initial consultation can usually be booked quickly i.e. the same week, and the waiting list for treatment is about 3 months.

How long will it take to get an appointment?

As the clinics are frequent, you can be sure you have an appointment within the week, this can be done remotely or face to face. If you have any special requests you can email or contact Mr Baghdadi personally.

Fees:

Do you offer package deals?

We do not offer packaged treatment or multiple treatments in one cost package. With a package, you often end up in paying for many tests which you do not need. We do not treat and charge patients in blocks. At BMI personalised treatment is the ethos, and this means every plan is costed as per personal needs. It ensures you pay for what you need. You may not need any further treatment cycles so why pay more. If you have a failed cycle, you will have a free review consultation to talk about the previous cycle and about any needed changes.

Are there any hidden costs?

There are no hidden costs. The costs are set by the BMI Priory and there are many ways you can spread the costs.

Fertility Tests:

Can I have any tests done by my GP?

Some of these tests can be done by the GP these are acceptable within the year. Endocrine profile, Thyroid, diabetes, AMH, sperm if it is done in approved labs, otherwise they can be done at the Priory.

Donor Sperm and Donor Eggs:

How can I source donor sperm or donor eggs?

We can help you after free counselling to purchase the appropriate sperm and direct you to HFEA approved sites. With donor eggs you can be put free on a waiting list, or you can bring your own egg donor (relatives or friends) We can also help you to have treatment abroad.

Treatments:

What if I'm unsure that I need IVF/ICSI?

Not all patients require assisted conception. You may not need a full course of fertility treatment, but my experience will be able to find the route of the problem and if it can be solved without needing a cycle this would definately be considered first. E.G. Hormonal imbalance PCOS (Fibroids, Polyps), sperm hormonal Imbalance (Non obstructive azoospermia, with pituitary hypothalamic pathology).
